Linking a field in AGRIVI means assigning a field or field parcel to a particular crop during a particular time period. Unlinking a field disconnects a crop from a field, meaning that crop is no longer growing there.
Linking fields allows AGRIVI to recognize which crop was grown on which field and when, allowing you to automatically monitor a field's crop rotation, provided you are growing annual crops. Linking fields also allows you to analyze productivity per area unit, input use per area unit, and other KPI's calculated based on the surface area of the field.
If you are linking a field to a perennial crop, the link date should reflect the date on which the crop was first planted (e.g. 10 years ago) and the "Unlink date" section can remain empty.
