What's the difference between the legal entity and the vendor?

• Legal entities are organizational units within one farm, to which users may differentially assign invoices, fields, bins, etc.
  • Through the legal entities module, users can manage multiple companies within one farm account, for example, if there are multiple farm owners (for tax or subsidy-related reasons), or multiple legally-distinct companies involved in different aspects of the operation (a farming company, a packing company, etc.).
• Vendors, by contrast, represent persons or organizations from whom you buy goods. A Customer is a person to whom you sell products.
