What's the difference between the legal entity and the vendor?

Legal entities are organizational units within one farm, to which users may differentially assign invoices, fields, bins, etc.
Through the legal entities module, users can manage multiple companies within one farm account, for example, if there are multiple farm owners (for tax or subsidy-related reasons), or multiple legally-distinct companies involved in different aspects of the operation (a farming company, a packing company, etc.).
Vendors, by contrast, represent persons or organizations from whom you buy goods. A Customer is a person to whom you sell products.
